Welcome!

On behalf of the staff, pupils and Governors, I would like to wish you a warm welcome to Poplars Farm Primary School.

We hope you find our website informative and that it gives you an insight into life at our wonderful school. We   are a friendly and inclusive primary school in Bradford, West Yorkshire with 402 children, aged 3 to 11 years.

In 2018, we began our journey to expansion; to become a two form entry school. This has involved the construction of a   new purpose built nursery, a two storey Key Stage 2 building and a fabulous stand alone arts space.

Our school motto is, ‘Together we aspire, learn and grow’. We strive to create a safe, positive and inspiring learning   environment, where each pupil will develop a love of learning and an enquiring mind. There is a turn of phrase we use     regularly, 'The Poplars Way' and our own curriculum, The Poplars Curriculum, reflects our own unique way of   delivering a highly engaging, creative curriculum which sets out to challenge and motivate our pupils through high   quality learning opportunities.

We place a strong importance on the development of every pupil's personal and social awareness. We provide our pupils   with the necessary guidance and support so that they see themselves as unique individuals who develop as   responsible world citizens. Embedded in our values system (GROW) are local and global perspectives, to encourage an   awareness and responsibility towards the world which our pupils will one day inherit.

At Poplars Farm, we see education as a partnership between home and school and we place a great deal of emphasis on our relationship with parents. We believe that children learn best when home and school work together for their benefit. Partnerships extend to regular collaboration with other schools at a local and global level.

I am immensely proud to be the headteacher at Poplars Farm Primary. We have the most dedicated and supportive staff team and fabulous pupils who work very hard to achieve their best in all aspects of school life. Visitors comment on the warm and friendly atmosphere in our school and how well behaved and polite our children are.

If you would like any more information about our school, or to arrange a visit, please contact us.

I look forward to introducing you to our school and 'The Poplars Way.'

Mrs Jo Speak,  Headteacher
